England is set to be introduced to a ban on the sale of alcohol below a certain price from the 6th of April onwards.
The Government are planning to go further to ensure responsible drinking by recommending a higher minimum price for buying alcohol.
Districts across England are tackling the scandal of binge drinking and the alcohol abuse that costs the NHS £2.7 billion per year.
Communities are keen to reduce the risks of violence, vandalism and abuse that are fuelled by alcohol.
Pubs, supermarkets and clubs are being encouraged to work with the government to help promote sensible drinking.
